Blobs of New York was created for my Still & Moving Images course in Fall 2024. Reviewing our work from the semester, my partner Nabira Ahmad and I realized we were both interested in telling the every day stories of New Yorkers. Using clay and stop-motion animation, we portray the collective experience of feeling insignificant within repetitive routines — like a blob — while suggesting that these very blobs are what constitute New York City.
